OH, forgot...

With the Winter Olympics here Eliana has been watching with us whatever events on the TV.
It seems her favourites are hockey and figure skating. When there is a goal she shouts "SCORE" everytime she hears that siren. In the figure skating she calls it "dancing on hockey", very cute.
Also on her singing career, if you remember she has been memorizing the lyrics to songs since she was a wee girl and currently on her songlists are "I want to come home" by Michael Buble and "Beauty and the Beast" by Celine Dion and Aaron Neville. Of course she is still into Rod Stewart's songs too. Gotta love every inch of them...

Eliana enjoying the park at Garden City. It is such a fun filled park with very modern play techniques, she loves it there and the pond is loaded with ducks. Here she is playing with daddy making sand castles.

At 27 months of age Eliana continues to develop her speech and memory skills with huge successes. An example of her sentences, "are you ok" or "mummy, come here" and her latest is "mummy at doctor for checkup". This last sentenced surprised daddy when mummy was really at the doctors. Eliana continues to learn the lower case alphabet and numbers with lots of fun. Her trilinguism continues with success. Her automatic reaction is now in english, then followed by whatever language she chooses.

Her potty training is fab. She only wears a diaper at night and away from the home. She calls her #2, chocolate so when flushing she waves goodbye and call outs its name with a big smile.

The pictures below show her new room (sisters old room) which she moved into last weekend. It was a big three room shuffle and took all day to do and sister is still unpacking. We were lucky to re-use sisters bedroom set and linens so the only thing new was her mattress topper.
This is the armoire that came with the set along with a dresser, shelf unit, night table and headboard. She is now sleeping in her own bed (of course mummy is not far away).

Gymnastics is really really her highlight of the week. Besides meeting her friends there she is learning the positions and completes the routines assigned. Her favourite is the trampoline of course. Eliana has learned to do the v-sit, stork stand, somersault, dive roll, backwards roll, uneven bar somersault and loves to jump into the foam pit.

Hello Again...

I managed to cut some more layers into Eliana's
hair and it has curled abit more. Here she is looking at her reflection while drinking a milkshake. Yes if you can believe it, speaking about McDonald's Auntie J, she is sipping on a strawberry shake to much of her delight (not sure about Dad although he said nothing) She even had a few fries but I ended up eating all of them (it was a happy meal). Eliana is wearing her Levi's I got at a deal at the Bay after boxing day sales. Love them as they have the adjustable waist and what a steal of a price.


Here my brothers and sisters in law and my mother of course with the bride and groom. They did actually get married by a JP in the morning and in April will now have the wedding in San Francisco (where they first met 7 years ago). It was a free night for me as Eliana stayed home with Dad happily asleep.
