Forgot to add...

Eliana's vocabulary has improved so much too! Besides her tantrum screams she is now putting words together and even counting numbers. We think her remembering skills are crazy (typical for us females). She calls her daddy in both the chinese, hebrew and english versions, its quite unique to hear coming from such a light skinned little girl. We look forward to more...

17 Months old and 16 Teeth later...

Our little girl has blossomed in the last few months. We are in the toddler stage and testing everybit of her charm on us. Eliana is definately a girl who knows what she wants. Her sleeping is much better now and is at approx. 12 hours now (whew!!). Since the last 4 teeth (the dracula ones) last month have finally cut she is a much happier camper (so are we). Her eating is going very well compared to when she was a year old. She still insists on feeding herself and once in a while uses her fork or spoon. Eliana loves sipping on the juice paks and of course squeezing them to watch the juice squirt (stopped that quickly). With the nicer weather we have been able to explore our backyard more and visit with the dogs too. Eliana loves feeding them apples from her hand. We have also been to the community centre park (recently uprgraded with spongy flooring, really cool) and always meet friends there from the playgroup. Today was a very nice day and alot of toddlers & moms we know showed up, very fun for Eliana and I.

First Music Class (Parent & Tot)

Eliana has always enjoyed the sounds of music. She likes to sing and sway her hips to the beat. Even when in the mall and she strolls past the stores playing their music she starts to jiggle her hips, very cute. So this is her first music class on April 15th, its for tots from 18 - 24 months. I know she is younger but we thought the structures would be good for her to start now. It was tough getting her to sit still on command in the beginning and she sort of did by the end of it. I am sure she will get use to the routine as the classes continue. Here she is below (the teal pants) choosing a musical instrument.

Riefel Bird Sanctuary, Westham Island (by Ladner)

Eliana was frightened first by all the ducks but eventually she was chasing them, as usual. It was a beautiful and sunny day as we made the trip out to the sanctuary. You know I haven't been there for I think 35 years or so...amazing. I was thankful it was still operating as it is definately a place to take your family to get back to "nature" at a very low cost. We saw baby bald eagles and mature ones too. Also birds called american coots that chirped alot and hung out with the mallard ducks. Luckily daddy bought a huge bag of seed on the way there so the girls had a parade of fans with them. You will see Isabelle and Claudia enjoying the attention.

Early Morning Window shopping...

Eliana went for an early breakfast with mum & dad and watched the stores open. She did abit of window shopping too!

Eliana was heading for the shoe store when daddy caught her (apple doesn't fall far from the tree)

Spring has Sprung...

And so has Eliana in her bright clothes for playgroup today. It was a start of a sunny day so mum decided to go floral. Eliana has been climbing all over things and she's even reached to the top of the downstairs sofa (against a window) like a racer. So besides spring coming in Eliana has sprung into gear climbing.

Here she is ontop of the sofa looking out in the backyard and up into the tree
