Eliana, the little girl...

Eliana truly loves the outdoors and all it offers. She chases the squirrels in the park, feeds the ducks, runs the trails of Garden City Park to the very arched bridge to see the expansive pond full of ducks and geese. One of Eliana's favourite things to do is to pick the flowers (weeds I should say). As you can see in the below picture she scored with two of the fuzzy blowing things.
It is fine park weather this week, so far... I hope all of you have settled into the routines of life...

Yes, its the kids pit at Oakridge, I am sure you all recognize this mind boggling print

Eliana waking up, it takes her awhile to spring into action

She lucked out on the weekend with the Sears sales lady gave her two special balloons. As you can see dad broke down before and bought a mylar one... she loves balloons.

Fall has arrived and its back to the routine...

Eliana at the Garden City Park with the fantastic and crazy playground. It has a whole bunch of water features that are very interactive. Here she is looking over the bridge at the ducks in the water. It was a windy day yesterday so she is kinda making a face into the wind.

At the community centre park today chasing the squirrels. She loves to chase them and the crows. She looks like a "little" person here. Eliana has learnt to identify colours and shapes this month in addition to adding more letters in the alphabet to recognize. She says things like "green tomato" or "red apple". She continues to sing songs like "twinkle, twinkle little star, "Happy Birthday to you", "ABC's", "Par Par" (hebrew butterfly song) and surprisingly sings the whole song. Eliana is now sitting with us at the table in a couple of chairs so she doesnt wander off. Seems like she is growing fast, next thing she will be driving...
Good luck for the back to schoolers (parents I mean)...

Fun in the Sun, or at least what is left...

Eliana had a parkabulous time in the Granville Island Park. Besides the swarms of kids and people on such a sunny day she managed to maneuver the wobbly bridge (with daddy's help) over and over again. Here below she is being surrounded by the talking Elmo with over "60" phrases, Oh My, that thing would never be quiet. This Elmo Encore even tells jokes... not too sure if that is good or not, it may be one of those you know what toys...

Well its the beginning of the month and we are getting into the school swing for Kat's final high school year and with surprise also Jason has started UBC-Sauder School of Business. We are very busy with all right now. Eliana will be attending her normal playgroup once a week in addition to the StrongStart Program at a local Elementary School and hopefully the gymnastics in Steveston.

Eliana's growth the last month in her vocabulary and sentence forming has been amazing. I can't begin to list what she says and does as she is basically speaking like us. It is an easier stage as they definately tell you what they don't like and like... daddy is getting use to that now.

Hope all is well with everyone and happy fall days to come and wish the best for the back to school kids.
