Hi !

Eliana is smiling because she just finished dropping little rocks into the storm drain in our driveway. She calls it "plop plop" and is her newest outdoor activity to do in our cul de sac besides puddle jumping. She continues to have extra fun in her gymnastics classes and really looks forward to the trampoline especially. Her friends Lucy and Simone also attend the same class.
Eliana has done a super job with her potty training. Since she wears underpants she has learned very quickly what the warmth is when she misses the potty. Last week she has started telling us when she has to go, so that has been a good sign she is catching on. Her fav thing to do at home is to strip off her pants and run around in the underpants, sometimes without them too. Its a job getting her to keep them on. I hope that is just a phase, ha!
Eliana the last few weeks has been "off" her usual self and I was right, she is teething. Her final 4 molars are comin in with the top left almost through. Lets hope for abit smoother ride on the remainder.
Eliana has been confirmed for her preschool class so that has been a big sigh of relief. We are pleased she will be attending RJDS, we really like the teachers there. Otherwise we spend alot times outdoors in her fav parks and after gymnastics finishes she will be in her music classes again.

Seaviews, Sunshine, and Swings...

We enjoyed a brisk walk at Kits Beach today and took in the views and fresh air. Eliana discovered beach volleyball during our walk and headed straight for them. They were so kind and gave her an extra ball to play while we watched. As we strolled along she quickly eyed the swings and that was it, her smile was permanent until the time we had to go, of course she cried but got over it soon with a food bribe, lol.

Happy New Year!!!

Well its off to a busy start for the new year. I hope everyone rang it in with alot of thought of making 2010 a year of successes for family, health and peace to all.
Eliana has started her gymnastics classes, there are some pics below of her jumping on the long trampoline. Her first class was abit hectic as she was not wanting to sit during circle time and bolted for the equipment, I think I got more exercise than her. Todays class (2nd) was a huge improvement on her listening skills and patience, PHEW for mummy. We had to work on this the whole week since her first session. Her potty time is surprisingly fantastic. Only a few accidents (#1's) and since boxing day she has gone #2 on the throne. No diapers during the day, unless we are out. She has started to tell us when she wants to go, so with fingers crossed, we hope to keep on track and slowly slowly we will get there. Her scope of foods she consumes has expanded greatly this month. At dinner last week she reached over for teriyaki chicken and ate it directly, she normally has chicken mashed with her rice, we were delighted to the new changes. Hopefully the terrible twos will be abit of a smoother ride.
